An alumni of IIM, Ahmedabad and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (TN), Satish joined NDA, Khadakwasla in early seventies having opted out of IIT, Kanpur. He was commissioned in the Infantry and served in the Indian Army for more than three decades. He commanded 27 RAJPUT. During his active service he held various instructional assignments at NDA; twice in Army War College and as a Founder Commandant at Corps Battle School in Kashmir. In active operations, he was a Brigade Major in IPKF in Sri Lanka and took part in Kargil operations. He was a Colonel GS of a Mountain Division.
After moving out of the Army he has served in Center for e-Governance in the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), USI of India and as a Cyber Consultant at National Security Council Secretariat.
He had designed the online Cyber Security Course for Common Service Centers (CSCs); a flagship scheme of the Government of India.
He was a Research Fellow at United Service Institute of India and Research Associate of Centre of Contemporary Conflict, Monterey, California, USA. He has authored several articles in professional journals, magazines and books including ‘The Fourth Estate: A Force Multiplier’ and ‘The Kargil Victory: Battles from Peak to Peak’.
Brig Binuraj is a retired Gunner Officer who was Director Operations in the Artillery Directorate and commanded an Artillery Brigade. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he is an alumni of College of Defence Management and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. He has vast experience in Defence Perspective Planning, organisational restructuring and has worked as an Associate Editor for a Defence Magazine. He is also mentoring an AI & Robotics Startup.
